Think ours was 93, but was trying to remember the number of the huge one across from us, think it was 80 something.
We are going to the Vendee on 7th August. Same area as we have been to in the past, close to La Tranch Sur Mer, but different campsite than we normally go to as our cvan is too big for our favourite site.
Meeting a friend from S.Ireland who lost her OH in May last year, very sad as he was only 53yrs. She is still going to go on her own with her three kids. They store their cvan close to the site and when they arrive it is all sorted so she can manage on her own. Going for moral support, but will be difficult without him,as he was always the "life and soul" of the holiday.

You should look at the picture on helsybob's gallery it gives you a good idea of the pitch size.

I would warn against going to Les Bois Du Bardelet, with all due respect to the commenter above. I went there for just one night using Camping Cheques, admittely in 2008, but recent reviews on zoover show little has changed. Read the Dutch and the French ones, translate using Google.

There is a big extra weekly charge to use sports facilites like the indoor pool, but you get a free hour or so in the evening, so after a long drive, we aimed to pitch the tent and have an hour in the pool. But reception took over 20 minutes to decide how much extra you had to pay for a 3 year old. Most sites charge nothing but it was the delay, not the price that bothered us.

Then after trooping thought a door inside the restaurant in our swimming kit, we had a brief spell in a crowded pool before a woman came to shout at everyone to get out. The outdoor poor was unheated and no-one was braving the cold, because it was empty. One night here was enough.

I have also stayed at the Chateau des Marais, which is far better with a free waterpark with slides, pools and a lazy river. It's near Chambord castle, which is worth a visit. Restaurant at CdM is poor though.

Other decent sites in the area include Les Alicourts near Lamotte Beuvron, which is well worth considering.

Camping de l'Etang at Brissac-Quince was a favourite with us when we holidayed with children - reviews posted on here.

Chateau des Marais gets another vote, we've been there the last 2 years. Perfect for small (0-6yo) children and very quiet after 10pm.

Hi we went to L'Etand de la Breche and Le Chateau  des Marais and I would highly recommend both (although I would prefer the latter). Both are relatively quiet sites but enough to occupy young kids. My 2 boys loved the pool complex at both, but there is a little more at Chateau Des Marais.

We are going back to the Loire again this year and are going to Le Parc de Fierbois as my boys are now older and like the look of the zip wires and Archery. I will however be returning to C d M at some point as it is such a lovely site.

Good luck with your decision, and IMHO you can't go wrong in the Loire
