Hi

We are taking our motorhome into France and Italy this year and I could do with some assistance with campsite help.

We are staying in Port Grimaud for 1 week and then we are travelling up to Lake Garda for a few days.  So I need somewhere for an overnight stop in Italy between the South of France and Lake Garda.  I was thinking may be somewhere around Genova - anyone got any suggestions!! 

After Lake Garda we will be making our way home and we will be going through Germany for the first time.  I would like to stay near Fussen in Germany to take a look at Ludwigs castles - so any suggestions for that area?  We are then going up to Rudesheim and again any suggestions would be really gratefully received.

The Genova stopover might be a problem unless you are happy to stay in a motorhome aire as lots of the Italians do - and I can't advise you on that. You might be struggling to find a decent camp site around Genova itself.

 We have stopped (with a caravan) west of there at Camping Rustia at Spotorno, and we have stopped further on at Pisa, but neither is quite where you asked for. The Spotorno site has good facilities, but always looked absolutely packed full - and yet they always just squeezed us in, by moving other people ! How big is your motorhome ? Pisa is famous, so Camping Torre Pendente is always busy - but big enough to get in  and close enough to walk to the leaning tower. Though Lucca, just up the road, is a far nicer town to visit.  Perhaps someone else can help you with the Germany leg.
