Hi
Has anyone stayed on a decent camp site within an hours drive of calais?? We have 3 children aged 3, 6 and 14!!
Any suggestions would be gratefully received!!
Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
Have a look in the area around Abbeville - we stayed in an Etap overnight there on the way to The Vendee and it looked a nice area and only took us around an hour to get to from Dunkirk (just up the road from Calais)
Good luck!

The ACSI card is found on the campingcard.com website and is self explanatory when you look at the site. Its low season mainly and covers sites all over Europe.
Also look at Val de Authie site which is a campingcheque site and is only an hour from Calais on the Somme area. Has an indoor/outdoor pool and really good shower blocks. Quite a good restaurant and take away as well.
This is a lovely site.Stayed 3 weeks last yr.So much to do in the area what ever the weather.Owners very helpful and speake very good english. The largest pitches we've ever seen too! Imaculate facilities. Will be going back!
Are you able to travel a bit further - if so this campsite is very good and would suit all age groups - very easy to get to - about 2 1/2 hours from Calais
La Croix Du Vieux Pont
Aisne Berny Riviere Picardy Nord-Pas-de-Calais
It is reviewed here on UK campsites but I am not sure how to get up the link.

Hi, when posting details of a camp site, please ensure you link to their UKCampsite.co.uk listing, not direct to their website, to enable reviews etc to be read or left. I've edited your link to link to the reviews now.
Now I mention it, please could you leave a review of the site when you get five minutes
Many thanks
Ian

We often stay at Ferme Des Aulnes when travelling through France. it's a little bit more than an hour from Calais but in a nice area, friendly staff and free wifi. Lots to see nearby too. There's a good vet close by if you travel with a pet.
Hi, you could have a look at La Riviera in the village of Ergny.its about 3 miles east of Hucqueliers.Never stayed there only passed it by a few times. You could take Junc 3 or 4 from the A26 which are both easy routes.I would say its about 45 mins from Calais.Phil
