I admire your concentration Alan - I wish I could say I have never looked down and seen I was doing 4mph over the limit - even when being dropped by the car in front.
Still, I guess your reward is you usually have an empty road in front of you.

Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
If you get flashed by a speed camera in France in a UK reg vehicle you won't get a payment demand at your UK address, so unless the cops actually catch you speeding you are ok. Other countries, ie Holland will trace you & bill you for speed camera fines at your home address but at the moment the French will not pursue non French reg vehicles for payment.
Tentz, sorry but now the Gendarmerie do have the ability to get your address from DVLA, and they will send you the fine. The only thing you don't get is the points!
They have the ability but payment is not legally enforcable. There is supposed to be upcoming EU legislation to make motoring offences, ie bans, apply Europe wide but nothing has happened yet. Difficult really as, for example in France a first & even second drink drive nick don't always result in a ban.
Some EU countries do attempt to collect fines abroad & some have agreements with neighbouring countries. Or specific agreements, ie UK-Poland to stamp out Poles using uninsured Polish reg cars in't UK.
Unless it has changed recently, UK reg vehicles getting flashed by French speed cameras are not pursued for fines. To get fined, you need to be stopped by the cops.
