Hi there

We are virgin France campers this year and need as much help/advice as we can get! Can anyone tell us how much the tolls are likely to cost us on this journey please? We've looked at a few routes but doubt there is a lot in it to be honest. We are going in Aug if that makes any difference......? Many Thanks.

You can use viamichelin or similar route planning website, and that indicates a cost for your journey of 20.40 euros (solo car), or towing 31.50 euros.

Viamichelin shows a journey time of 3 hours and 1 minute, but remember this is solo, at maximum speed, with no hold-ups or comfort stops, and driving at the maximum allowed speed on any stretches of road.

i use mappy.com. It will calculate your actual fuel and toll costs and even take into account a caravan or size of car.
Good luck, driving in France is easy, I love it.

Just be careful using Mappy.com (French version) which doesn't always show the correct tolls for car and caravan!  The tolls from Calais to Senlis, towing, should be 26 euros, but mappy.com, today, shows 17.20 euros (toll costs for car alone) even if car and caravan is selected correctly.  Check carefully and compare other websites just in case - on a long journey with a caravan the tolls can be significantly more than in a solo car.
