I've driven past the signs for this park when I've been charging between the chunnel and Paris for the last five years... can someone give me a clue as to if it's a good place to take my boyz (8 & 12) too?

we went in April using our tesco vouchers a couple of years ago. We all enjoyed it and our son actually preferred it to Disney. I'd say your kids are just the age to enjoy it.

The rides are better than Disney, the food is better and cheaper, the queues shorter and there's far less of that grab-your-last-buck atmosphere that Disney has. We went for two days to Euro Disney and two to Parc Asterix on one holiday three years ago (we were insane but...) and basically, if we hadn't had already paid for the second day of Eurodisney we wouldn't have gone back. Whereas we had to practically get swept out with the rubbish on both days at Parc Asterix and we've been back twice since, including last year. My kids are currently 15 and 10, nearly, and they'd be back there like a shot if we were anywhere near it this year. Your lads will adore it. Cash in your Tesco points and give it a go.

We too went 3 years ago. My boys were 10 and 7 then and loved every minute.
3 years on they would go back in a flash. In fact they were both talking about how good it was recently. I can't compare it to Disneyland as we haven't been ( probably the only family I know not to have gone!!!) but as others have said the queues aren't bad at all.
We were there last week, with two 16 year olds. We all loved it. lots of roller coaster type rides.
As mentioned above it is a little more laid back than Disney. The parking is near enough to take a cool box and go outside to the pic nic area for lunch.
If you have Tesco vouchers it is £13 a ticket. We had to buy one ticket on the gate and I think it was 33 euros.

We've been too (and we didn't do 'Theme Parks' as a family) but my sons loved it too! We met up with an old French friend and his daughters there, some years ago now, but we all had a great time. The shows are great - we had the Three Musketeers, who staged a very realistic fight on horseback actually in and amongst the crowd - and captured some willing children from the audience(!) as part of the show! There were also indoor shows and films, including the most amazing sort of 'bungee ballet'.
There was a good atmosphere, very French, and one of the highlights for them was the 'Wild Boar' burgers!
we went last year with other family including two kids aged 4 and 10. They had a really good time and we enjoyed it too. We also went there when our own kids were aged 6 and 3 and had a good day out then. If using the Tesco vouchers you really can't lose!
No queues when we were there last year though it was June so that may have helped.
Plenty of in-between rides that suit kids that want decent sized rides and to be scared a little, but are not quite ready for the really big ones! Some of these are quite thrilling but smaller kids can get on with adults.
We have done disney when kids were little and found that it was good the first time but the second time it seemed a little plastic and there were not many bigger rides (or in-between) for older kids and adults.
We went on the last Sunday in August. I can't recommend it as a result - it was SO busy that we had to queue for over an hour for the 2 rides we did go on. I am sure that on another day and if I'd used Clubcard vouchers I would feel differently about the place but if it's busy I'd give it a wide wide berth.
I was recommended it by a patient who had taken sons of the age of your two and she told me it was awesome so I reckon if you can go on a quieter day it is probably fine but just don't pick a busy day

We went on the 24th August last year, our Grandson's 11th birthday and he loved it. There were queues, but not too bad for August. I am not a big fan of roller-coasters, but the park had stuff even I enjoyed.
We stayed at the Campix campsite which we really liked too.
