I've read on a ferry forum that there are roadworks in Plymouth that could cause delays/problems on the approach from Exeter A38. We normally leave the A38 at Marsh Mills A374 but we're looking at other routes to avoid the city.
One option is to leave the A38 at Outland road A386, then Milehouse Rd B3396, Devonport Rd, Kings Rd to Stonehouse bridge and then follow the A374 to Union St turning right at Kentucky Chicken island.
The other is to leave the A38 a bit further down at the Devonport turn off to join the A3064, turn left on to Wolseley Rd, then turn right onto B3396 Saltash Rd, turn right onto Park Ave and follow the A374 to the Kentucky island near the port.
Can anyone advise which is the best way or an alternative to the above as we'd prefer to avoid getting stuck in traffic, we'll be towing a van in August...are these routes suitable??
Thanks
