We have just returned from 3 weeks in Holland for the the 3rd year running. In total we have been to Holland 5 time and never grow bored with it. We have stayed at place called De Lakens which is in Zandvoort, which is the dutch rivera. The beaches are amazing and you camp in sand dunes, there is no pool, entertainment... its great. A must in any site is bikes. We have also stayed at Koningshof which was a busier campsite and the kids loved this it was great for cycling to beach, it had a pool on site and good play park (my kids are 11 & 5), this year my hubby thought that we should try inland and we went to Flevostrand, I did not like this as the beach was not nice and the water was stagnent. If you are looking to really get away from it I would recommend going to Texel which is the first island off the north coast of Holland, it was heaven on earth, there is lots of camping all on small farms. We stayed near Den hagg, and the beach was great and the town lovely. We stayed on a beef cattle farm. Most farmers on the island have about 10 - 15 pitches, its not fancy but really peaceful and I am looking forward to going back there again.... remember you bikes
