After a grey damp windy holiday in Normandy July several years ago we decided to drive further. 2 wks split between the Vendee and the Loire. To be fair we do look like we've had sun but have brought home the same number of suntan bottles we went with. In that time we had 2 sunny virtually cloudless days, others were cloudy with sunny spells and many others were grey and damp. We went from Calais and have concluded that 5 dyas travelling particuarly with children was too much so not sure about next year....

I'm worried bout the weather in Annecy, the forcast I have looked at says rain!
We are off on Tuesday Like lots of people its our only holiday this year, apart from devon at whitsun, so will be really disapointing it we don't see the sun.
We have booked and paid for it all in advance, so not much scope to go elsewhere.
We're off to France on Tuesday - looks as if we'll all be in for a bit of hot weather from the end of next week, according to the 10-day forecasts I've looked at. One of them showed a bit of a heatwave around Saturday.

2 days ago it said it was going to be raining here today but I am sat in the sun - OK there are a few clouds about but they are thin and the temperature is at least warm.

In Dordogne at present ... last three days rain at night, but lots of sun during the days, and warm (between 20 and 30) ... forecast is improving for rest of the week with very good weather for second half.

I'm at Sol Plag
liking the Wifi in front of the mobile - great view of the cliffs - lots of sun and really taken with the new wild flower meadow. Just the gentlest of breezes - very, very comfortable indeed.
