Hi Ray,
You should have no need to book any sites in September. All the children will be bach in school so the sites will be relatively quiet. As Matz says above have a look at the camping Ireland website and make your choices.depending on what time you arrive then Camac Valley on the Naas road near Dublin may be a good first/last overnight stop.
There are numerous sites in Kerry like Flemmings and Glenross but have a look at Wavecrest on the ring of Kerry.Beautifull if you get the weather.Nagles in Doolin is also a lovely site .You can get a boat to the Arran Islands within 700meters from the site. Also if you are there around 12/14th Sept there is a great festival in Lisdoonvarna around 2km from the site.there are also many pubs nearby and they all have great Irish music every night.
Hope this helps,if you have any further queries just holler.
John.
