We are going to la guyonniere next week. Its our first time camping abroad and our longest camp to date.
Am very excited, which is totally overruling any first time jitters. Feels like an adventure!
So any essentials I may have forgotten? Or likely to need for a 2 week family trip, that I may not have thought of.
Anyone else going?

Hi!
There have been lots of posts in recent weeks about firstimers abroad so if you do a search you will find them.
However, do you have EHIC sorted for all family members?
I always take photocopies of car documents, licences and passports and keep them in a separate safe place to the originals.

Hope you have a fabulous time - there'll be no looking back!

Ruth

Don't forget the corkscrew - and your speedos, just in case the site has regulations about swimming shorts!

Wet weather gear - then it will almost guarantee good weather, warm sweaters then you can guarantee sunshine - and wellyboots so avoiding any floods!

Take any aspirin, paracetamol, anti-histamines, creams and lotions, etc., as 'medicines' we can buy in supermarkets have to be bought in a Pharmacy, and will cost a lot more.

And don't forget to have a good time, chill out and relax!

It's a really great site - lots of Dutch people as it is Dutch owned - can be breezy so take some sweaters for the evenings - good chips in the takeaway to go with your barbecue- tractor rides for the kids every day - St Gilles Croix de Ville for moules mariniere and a really really lovely pizza place up the little road by the market.  We went three times in a row - hope you have a really lovely two weeks!

Lindsey
