It's still too far away to calculate. The long-range forecasts are never that accurate. All you can do is look daily at the forecasts. I must admit, next week does look to be improving! But don't rely on it!
We are also avidly checking forecasts.....all i can say is im glad im not going this week as there is a lot of rain forecast for Annecy.Things do seem to be improoving but its is hard to put any faith into the longer range forecasts as they differ from site to site so much. We regretfully have come to the conclusion that the weather will probably not be on our side this year. So despite, resolutions not to take so many clothes .....im now having to pack for every eventuality (well thats my excuse and other half is buying it,lol). We did briefly consider changing our plans but the loss of deposit plus the extra expense of going further south was too much to contemplate, plus Annecy is somewhere we actually want to go and having done the research are sure we will be able to amuse ourselves whatever the weather. We cant really complain we went to Brittany at Easter and had much better weather than anticipated! Unfortunately the weather is the one thing you cant book.
Hope the weather doesnt spoil your fun, feeblecat. Im loving your blog by the way

With LaChaine Meteo it's next Friday before the weather in France looks like it should do! But, after that it goes down hill again with thunderstorms in places! But MeteoFrance shows an entirely different picture, with cloud over most of Northern France, but higher temperatures in the Languedoc, for the same day.
This is one of the problems with looking at forecasts. You choose your favourite weather site and then believe what it tells you. Yesterday our local weather forecast was for rain - and it was almost wall to wall sunshine!
Thanks to all. Val, do you know if there is a similar site for german forecasts? I prefer the above or French meteo because I like the whole picture (of suns lol) and can see immediately at a glance where to head.
The beauty of not booking this year means we are very flexible. I am determined for sun, having had 2 miserable summers up here (except the past week or so), even mentioned the Spain word to hubby last night..........................
Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
Loving the weather maps! We camped round Europe for almost a month last Summer and had pretty rubbish weather -apart from a couple of hot days in Lake Bled and 2 very hot days in Venice.Spent a whole day driving round Lake Garda in the pouring rain too! Hoping for better this time-thinking of heading down to Croatia although Spain looks appealing now!
This will be our first year going to France in a tent! So its bound to peed down!
We are off to Annecy and have swapped from a caravan, then a trailer tent, my reasoning was 'its so hot, you only need a tent anyway, so lets save money............'

Sorry the weather maps have disappeared - but you can find them on LaChaineMeteo, which shows pictures of the weather for the whole of Europe, over a 12 day period.
