While staying at La Croix Du Vieux Pont we are planning a day trip to Paris. I know that they operate a coach trip to Paris, However I think the times of the service will be to restrictive for what we want to see and do.

Our plan is to drive to a station in zone 5 or 6 of the Paris transport network and buy their equivilent of the 1 day travel cards.

Can anyone recommend a good station to use with good parking? (Please don't say CDG Airport as the parking charges there are astronomical).

Soissons is proably the nearest large station to the site but likely outside zones 5&6. Once you get to Paris you can buy books of 10 tickets called Carnets which are handy for families. For mainline ticket prices and timetables have a look here http://www.sncf.co.uk/

If you put "park and ride Paris" into Google there's quite a lot of info there - some more up to date than others,

And of the ones they list, that from the eurotunnel website looks the most informative for going into central Paris. Yes?

Could you update us on this Haggistent as am planning french camping 2012 and any information would be just grand.  I am planning staying at the La Croix du Vieux Pont due to the proximity of Disneyland and Asterix Parcs, i have not considered driving to either parc as yet but due to bus available at campsite for Disneyland.

Guess theres more to think about!

Driving to Disneyland from La Croix is an easy ,straightforward 1 hours drive

( park in the multistorey at Disney Village for 8 euros per day ,instead of queuing and parking in the main carpark for 15 euros per day ! )

Really? That's what the reception at Le Croix told us to do (we didn't go in the end). They said the parking wasn't very expensive - some special 'Start' carpark or something?

They suggested the airport because they said the train ticket would be much cheaper than going to Soissons. I got a quote for the ticket from Soissons and it worked out at almost 100 euros for a family of 4 (the coach from the site is half that) - not sure how much the ticket would have been from CDG.
