We stayed at Chateau des Marais in the Loire this year (in a static). Depends what you want in a site, no animation and only tour operator kids club but very pretty site with great pool complex. Toilet blocks very good.
------------- From tents to trailer tents to a tin tent to an air tent to trailer tent and back to tin tent!
Will put a second shout in for Chateau Des Marais.Went there in 2009 and absolutely loved it. Went with another family and 4 'tweens' rated it as the best one they's been to. Lots in the area and all facilities superb. Both of us with 8m twin axle vans and still had plenty of room on pitch.
Bois de Bardalet at Gien is also good but on a much smaller scale.

What about Lac d'Orient, near Troyes - just about within your driving distance, indoor and outdoor pools, good sanitary blocks, and an adjacent lake. Lots of previous mentions and reviews on here.
If you have young kids (10yo or less) then I recommend Parc Montsabert in Loire, lovely area right in the middle of the Vineyards (very cheap quality wine direct from the growers!)
Park has a decent swimming pool and is quiet at nighttime. Good animations team for the kids.
Only problem for us was it is a bit far from the coast but weather in that region generally good and it fits with your drive time.
We found it last minute last year but as we left 2nd last week of August there was quite an exodus so it may be very quiet by end of August (may be good or bad depending on what you want!, and that is the case with most sites anyway as the French hed home mid Aug and Brits follow a week or so later).
Summary is a very nice friendly site in a beautiful area with plenty of Chateaus etc nearby, but if kids are in teens or you want a beach holiday I would look elsewhere.

We stayed on La Croix Du Viewx Pont about a 5 hr drive in Berny Riviera,a friend of mine stayed on Camping Campix Le Esseraunt (think that's how it's spelt) which he said was very good. They both have reviews and web site links on here if you look in camp site search area,Picardy/Ille du Paris. Hope this helps, happy hunting.
