Yes, go...we've just come back from the Vendee area and have had a fab 2 weeks even though the weather has been mixed.
Moneywise, we spent far far less than £1000 including petrol and tolls etc. I take lots of dry goods from home (pasta, passata, tins etc), several packets of ham etc and just buy some meat and fresh salad stuff from supermarket and bobs your uncle...we BBQd 10 nights out of the 12 we were on site...we live on bread and cheese and ham etc during the day.
we spent our days on the beach and round the pool and evenings playing games outside the caravan or having a wander to the playarea...
I do hope you go and have a really good time...we're just looking into booking for next year taking our folding camper.
