We are looking to maybe going to La Garangoire next August and we wondered if anyone can tell us what pitch to request. We would like a pitch that is not shaded, not too close to the shop/bar etc. We do like the look of the pitches on their website that has the little hedges around it.

Also, if anyone has a recent pitch plan, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks in advance.

Jeff

We just got back from there - I'll try scan in the site map but I don't think it will work too well - all the pitches are named (rather than numbered) and so it is difficult to read unless blown up to a large size.

Almost every single pitch has those hedges on 3 sides and there are very few bad pitches IMO. However, most are shady to some extent.

The site is VERY popular (with good reason - best site we've been to) and many people (including us) book for next year when we leave.

I would suggest calling them up and booking any available pitch you can - I seriously don't think you'd be disappointed with anything you get.

The site is split in two by a service road. Mostly statics to the left with a few pitches. To the right it is all touring pitches apart from some ready erected tents under the trees. I would think any pitch beginning with the letter 'P' (birds) would get you a decent sized pitch with surrounding hedge. All pitches are well away from the the bar/ entertainment complex.
