Hi all, We will be arriving by ferry at Bilbao on a Saturday evening at 7.00pm. Does anyone know whether we can stay overnight at the docks, or do you know of a local campsite that would be suitable? We will be en route to Biarritz.

Don't go to Biaritz!
Stay on the north coast of Spain ... so much cheaper and more picturesque and .. and ...
At least visit the Guggenheim Museum before you leave Bilbao!
Camping Sopelana is the nearest to Bilbao ... about 20 kms but very near a metro stop which takes you into town.

You can park overnight on the docks at Zeirbena where the ferry docks just outside Bilbao , we did earlier this year when returning from La Manga

We travelled on the Portsmouth - Bilbao route in early July this year; the ferry arrived in Bilbao at approx 6.00pm and we were on the road by 6.30pm, you could  make it to Biarritz by 8.00pm, it is motorway all the way. We stopped overnight near St Jean de Luz in France on our way to Argeles Gazost in the Pyrennees.

If you look on the Brittany Ferries website it does say that there is parking on the docks for car and caravan, they have also confirmed it to me by e-mail.

We are sailing on Dec. 27 and will be staying on the docks after landing.
