Hi there,I was looking at the area around La Tranche sur Mer for next years hols,and was wondering has anyone been camping around that area,and what does it have to offer.We like to cycle as much as possible once we have set up tent,so any info regarding cycle lanes would be  also very welcome.

we stayed at camping bel in La Tranche sur mer this july and loved it. This was our first french camping trip and we couldnt have hoped to have a better time. We hired bikes for a week and made good use of the ample cyle lanes which are up and down the coast. The resort has lots to do, with lovely beaches and plenty of shops restaurants and ice cream parlours.

we visited La Tranche for the day a couple of weeks ago and were very impressed with the town. The beach was lovely and the ice creams just scrummy and the cheapest we had anywhere this year. Its definelty somewhere we'd go back to, I wasnt impressed with the rest of the Vendee but la Tranche was lovely. Wish we'd looked at Bel and Bay d'Anuis now as possibles for future holidays.

Can really see the attraction with the sites in La Tranche as not having to get in the car would be a huge bonus.

Hello all,

Stayed in Le Baie D'aunis a year or so ago during August. We were near the car park side of the site but there were no problems with noise. It was a very good campsite with the bonus being it was a few yards from the beach and a few minutes into the center of the town.

You may have a problem booking direct as they only start bookings from March.

We booked through Select sites and had no problem.
