Fortunately during our recent week in France, we didn't experience any flooding, or particularly heavy rain, and had five days of lovely sunshine - warm enough to sit and sunbathe, and 23 degrees at one time. We did have one day of rain, and the following day of cloud, but otherwise had a great time, and the Languedoc in late Autumn was beautiful. The autumn leaf colours were stunning, and we've taken some great photographs. With the rain, the Cascades just up the valley from our friend's house were magnificent - the best he's seen in fifteen years of living there!
I made two flight bags, to comply exactly with the Ryanair meagre cabin luggage dimensions, the bags each weighing just 300 grams - and Ryanair staff were really impressed by them! We managed to fit more than enough in them, and had some spare room for cheese, pate, saucisson, coffee and some chestnuts from the Ardeche! Unfortunately wine was out as it doesn't comply with the 'Less than 100 mls of liquid'!!!!!!!!!
