AFter spending 5 summers in France, and loving it, thought that we might venture elsewhere. Any ideas? I have two children ages 9 and 10, they love swimming

We go down to the stretch of coast just sth of Tarragona, Spain, not too far down. This is a popular area with plenty of coastal campsites. Busy on the coast but go inland a few miles & its empty with quite spectacular scenery. Temps Jul/Aug will always be at least mid 20s & it stays very warm overnight.
Any rain is always at night but you can get strong winds that can last for a couple of days. Very nice, well maintained beaches with safe swimming.
We go to El delfin Verde in the costa brava. It is onlyabout 30 miles over the border, it has a good pool, and is sited beside a good beach. There is an excellent supermarket on site and take away chips for the kids. We have not been there in the summer, we only go in the low season, so cannot say how busy it would be in the summer.
definitely agree with the previous posters. We take our two littlun's to the Costa Brava and they love it. The sea tends to be very shallow so safe and the sea breeze keep the temp down.
Try Los Dunas or La Ballena near San Marti. Both great sites on the sea.
We go to Italy in Mar-Jun, and love it! We go to the Costa Brava in Sep-Oct, and love it just as much! One point that may swing your choice, is that outside the ACSI season, Italian campsites are very expensive!
El delfin Verde looks good but poor website. It does not show pitches or sizes of pitches, water, drainage TV?. No photos? Does not mention awnings. It appears electric is included but does not show amps. It mentions TV and Sat TV but not if it is on your pitch. I am hoping you can help with the above? Is there another website with info for tourers?
Fred.

Depends what you are looking for. If you want sandy beaches perhaps Spain would be the best bet but if you want attractive scenery then perhaps Italy would be better.
