Anyone reccomend a site with direct beach accesson the mediteranean coast in the south of France for August 2012 ? Good beach bar would be a bonus

Do you want somewhere within walking distance of a village?  Serignan Plage isn't really within walking distance of anything very much.  I'd say the village of Serignan must be about five or six kilometres away.  If you look on Google Earth and search for Serignan Plage, you can see all the campsites in the area immediately adjacent to the beach, and to the east.  If you then zoom outwards you can see the distance to the small town of Serignan which is labelled.  Portiragnes is probably nearer, but is across the river and not accessible on foot. There is a nice little local market in Serignan, with some of the local food producers selling direct there - we bought some lovely figs this year, and some Muscat grapes - definitely to be recommended!

Two of the adjacent campsites at Serignan Plage are Naturist, one is the sister site to Serignan Plage and is called Serignan Plage Nature (make sure you book at the correct one!!), and the other is Le Clos Ferrand.  A section of the beach at Serignan Plage is naturist.  The beach is lovely, and the sea is clean and clear (generally, except after storms) with some good waves.  It can be very windy if the Tramontane is blowing, but that applies to many beaches on the Western Mediterranean.
