Been to Le Vieux Port several times although stopped in a static van belonging to Haven. All the usual operators on sight. Enjoyed the site everytime, set under tall pine trees there is plenty of shade. A short walk along a tarmac access road from the site to the lovely beach with good surfing waves along all the coast line. Lots of activities on site and plenty of entertainment in their high season. A short walk or bike ride down the road is Vieux Bocau a small town with plenty of chic shops and restaurants, the town adjacent to a large picturesque lake. Quad track and a tree top aerial rope course also nearby.
The town of Barritz is a short drive down the coast and also the Basque region and its culture. Would recommend this site.
We have driven down from St Malo in one go ( without towing) in a long day, but if you can afford it the overnight crossing to Santander or Bilbao is very relaxing and a part of the holiday
