Visited Interlarken in Switzerland, stayed at Lazy Rancho campsite. Spectacular views of the Eiger and surrounding mountains. A trip to the snow covered Eiger is a must via fenicular train, takes you to the top of the Eiger, ice palace, viewing paltform, sledging, sking, huskis and walk to the mountainers hut, 27 deg in the valley and -3 deg on the Eiger, we even had snow in August. Easy walk into Interlarken (15 minutes) through pitureesque estate. Visits to Murren, Luterberunen and Grindelwald. ride up the mountin side at Grindlewald in ski gondala and back down on trottie bikes. Local bus service free with pass provided by campsite. Can be expensive with food, so take as much as possible with you. Vignette payable for car and caravan, approx 40€ each. Thurn lake nearby with swimming etc.
Annecey in France worth a visit, lake side campsites views of surrounding mountains. Annecey very nice with bars and restraurants along the waterways, discribed as the Venice of France. Geneva nearby and Itally vai the Monte-Blanc Tunnel but involves a toll, cheaper to get a return pass. Spectacular glacier at the side of the tunnel entrance.
