Eiffel Tower tickets can be purchased from this website, but only if you take the lift. http://www.eiffel-tower.com/preparing-your-visit/buying-your-tickets.htmlhttp://ticket.toureiffel.fr/index-css5-sete-pg1-lgen.html  We had also thought about having a picnic by the Eiffel Tower weather permitting.

Does anyone know of any museums that kids might find interesting maybe interacting ones in Paris?

Caddyclan - be careful with the 99 euro pass. They don't include parking. Worth buying one at 139E for he free parking and other discounts in shops/ restaurants.

Yes, we had actually sussed out the parking - so we are getting 4 x 99euro and 1 x 129euro which includes the parking.

We are thinking about going to the Paris Catacombs too - friends went and said they were creepy but thoroughly interesting! Something a bit different and will probably appeal to our teens! LOL

Newoverseascamper - I would recommend the Cite des Sciences in Paris as a family day out. Within the Parc de la Villette grounds, it would be a great summer day out. The Cite des Sciences des enfants (2-7 years) was great fun for my 2 and 5 year old last October and I can't wait 'til they can also enjoy the one for the next age group up. There is also a 3D cinema as well as an IMAC screen in the Geode. Plus a submarine you can have a look around and all surrounded by the various themed gardens that make up the parc (some of them designed for kids including one with a giant dragon slide). It's just inside the Peripherique and we drove there from the Croix du Vieux Pont without any problems.

There's a really good deal on Annual Passes here Disney Annual Passes I know people that have ordered from them and been delighted (read several forum reviews too). The Fantasy pass is just 119€ here too which is a 20€ saving on everywhere else (and that pass gets you free parking) and the ultimate Dream pass is just 149€ which is a terrific 50€ saving!

You do have to pay a 20 subscription fee to sign up to CE Multiadvantages, but it's worth it for the savings on the tickets if you are buying a few, especially the Fantasy and Dream ones.

Clare; the montparnasse tower is fabulous and is a much nicer ascent to the top than the Eiffel tower. Views are equally amazing.
Catacombs brilliant as is the tour of the sewers the kids would love it. ( they went on bluepeter once!) it was one of the highlights of one of my many trips to Paris. I would also recommend Pere la chese the very grand cemetery.

Ooooh catacombs sound fab! We tried to find them in Rome with out luck, so will put them on my list, as long as they don't scare my 7 yr old too much, lol.

Think we will try and book towards the end of Aug to avoid the crowds. Then off somewhere easy to get to on route, for bit of sun and pool.

I'm going to write all this info down now

The catacombs are good but do remember it is where they moved the skeletons from grave yards so it is piles and piles of skeltons under the ground. It is quite dark, damp and old. So depends what you think is suitable for a 7yr old. I went in my 20s and found it very morbid and depressing but it is a tourist attraction so must be deemed suitable.

We saw the catacombs in Sicily when my 5yr old was 9mths, he didn't batter an eyelid lol, I think now it would give him nightmares, whereas my 3 yr old would probably want to play with them.  I think we'll give those a miss this time.

The Cite des Sciences in Paris sounds good is it in the centre of Paris?

I've just realised two nights out of my 3 nights at Des 4 Vents we can use the ACSI card, yay!

I think we've got an intinary for Paris. Morning Eiffel Tower, lunch (picnic) in the parc du Champ de Mars weather permitting. Instead of a cruise down the Seine we're going to get a day pass for the Batobus and get on and off to take photo's of the main points of interest and then visit the Palais de la Decouverte.  After that I think we'll all be tired.

We are thinking of going to 4 vents and parking at Tournan en Brie for a train ride and day in Paris. However, my husband is concerned about the safety of our motorhome on the car park. Please could anyone advise re safety and suitable parking for a 19.5 ft vehicle.
Thank you

Confused!!

Just set your google to translate from French to English automatically. Without logging in to CE and going through the checkout process I don't know how you order, but I know there are other sites (in France) that sell Annual Passes and post them to your house, so this may be the same. Don't know how you go on about having your photo on them though..if you do?
