Hi Folks,

We're starting to plan our first caravan trip to France and I was hoping to gain some insight from more regular travellers within this forum.

Has anyone stayed at the Campsite Fontaine Vieille (Atlantic coast/West of Bordeaux)?  We're a family of six (4 kids under 11!) so we're looking for reasonably sized pitches and easy access to beach/pool.  Their website paints a pretty picture  (http://www.fontaine-vieille.com/campsite-gironde-swimming-pool.html) but we're keen to hear of anyone's first hand experience.  We're also open to discussion on any other caravan sites in the Atlantic coast area.

Any advice would be appreciated.  Thanks in advance!

We're planning to travel via Rosslare/Cherbourg at the start of August and stay for 3 weeks.  We aim to head quite far south and then work our way back up.

We don't think we'll make it down to the north of the Atlantic coast area (near Bordeaux) in one day so we're hoping to stop around the Vendee for an overnight stay. We hope to stay in the Atlantic coast area for about 7 or 8 days.  Then we'll head up to the Vendee for approx 7 or 8 days and then up to Brittany for the remainder.

Any advice would be appreciated!
