I have booked the last 2 weeks of the summer holidays off this year for our family holiday to France. As it's a bit later this year (20th Aug -1 Sept) I thought I might buy the ACSI card to save some money, thinking we should be able to find some discounted sites for the second week at least.

We are two adults and 2 children (aged 8 and 12) - we would obviously expect to pay the standard rate for the children as they would not be included in the ASCI discount price but this would still mean a significant saving. Has anyone encountered any problems using the ASCI card with more than 2 adults on a pitch?

No, there's no problem at all.  You pay the ACSI rate for two adults, and then the 'normal' supplements for the children.

We've done it several times, when friends/my son/or my sister and her family join us.

I've just used the ACSI card for the first time this week and it's great and I have two young children and booked three sites using it.  Instead of following through with the reservation page on the websites I have e-mailed them first and informed them I have the card and two children.  They then e-mailed me back and two have reserved a pitch and amended the price and I pay on arrival and one I have paid the full balance after they amended the booking.  Great saving!

Some ACSI sites include 2 children in the price now, but there is an age limit.

We used it a  couple of times last year with two children, no problem. We also found the book very useful as a general campsite guide and stayed on one site that we'd found in the book even though they didn't accept the ACSI card until a week later. The site was v ery easonably priced anyway.
