My kids were 4 and 8 (but we fibbed and said she was 9) - the trails start from age 2 but are fairly limited until you get to the 9 year old group. I'd say the 6 to 8 year olds are probably the least well catered for here as there's only the baby trails plus one other for that group. Having said that, my daughter enjoyed that trail and did it a few times and the whole thing only cost EUR 14 for the 9+ age group. We took a vote on our last morning for where to go and both kids chose to go back here again! We'd done tree climbing the year before in Brittany but this one was much better organised and I felt a lot more comfortable at this one. How old are your children?

They'll be 4 and nearly 6 (looks 8!) That sounds great we will be going there!! On the last few days we were last year we found the natural lake just set back from the beach in Bretinole Sur Mer, it was great for the children :)

oh yes, we went there, it's lovely. We also really enjoyed parc des dunes at Brem sur Mer - a little odd, but great fun. All the rides are parent or child powered and the biggest ball pit I've ever seen! If your children like donkeys, we had a great time at Calins Ca-Anes at Lac du Jaunay (just a couple of roads away from Le Pin Parasol) - you can have a donkey ride, brush them, feed them acorns and even take them out for a walk! One of the best things we did last year was the castle at Tiffauges - a fairly long drive but really worth it. The historical enactments were incredible - downside is they're all in French (Ok fro me but rest of the family don't speak French) but everyone enjoyed it. Have you been to the castle at Talmont? Might try that this year (if I ever decide which site to book).

We're on pitch 102 in the top, left corner. great big green outwell Florida.

Another vote for the rope course, we spent a whole day there last summer. My parents are staying in a chalet onsite for our last week, so they will supervise the kids while dh & I get to do the advanced courses

Worth cycling over to the auberge de Jaunay on the lake. Nice food, not badly priced.

Would the parc des dunes have enough for a 10 and 8 year old to do? Is it more for smaller kids?

Would have to recommend La Garangeoire.

http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/details.asp?revid=3126

Fantastic site with plenty to do to entertain young kids. It's very well maintained, safe for kids, and the evening entertainment all takes place a good distance from pitches.

Enjoy!

Parc des Dunes would definitely entertain an 8 and 10 yr old - there's go-karts (pedal powered), a swimming pool with slides (needs a coat of paint but my 8 yr old enjoyed the slide), a summer toboggan/luge ride & the ball pit seemed popular with all ages - we saw teenagers diving into it !! It's got lots to do and we had a great day out there (my kids were 8 and 4 at the time)

Booked direct through their own website. They don't have euro camp or anyone like that on site.

Google village guyonniere and it should come up. Homepage has a cartoon goat on it.
