We are looking to stay at Camp St Claire Neufchatel en Bray for 2 nights (16th&17th June)

would we need to pre-book or can we just turn up?

Thanks.....

You should be fine. We usually turn up around 4.00/5.00pm in August & there are plenty of spare pitches.

We usually drop them an email as we're disorganised and would never get there till late. It's far easier for me to mail them in February than ensure the family gets there while there are still pitches LOL!

You're bound to be more organised than us and they're probably not so busy in June, but their contact details are here if you do want to book.

Oh and by the way, try the Neufchatel en Bray cheese. They're little heart shaped soft cheeses & the're yummy!

And it goes well with the patron's calvados, but you have to ask him about it.

Theres no need to book that campsite even in peak season & you will certainly be ok in June.

I've e mailed them in the past to say we will arrive. No reply, but the boss was there on his bike when we arrived. Don't be put off if you don't get a reply. Like Tentz says, in June it won't be full.

I have to endorse St Clair, it is park like, as clean as a whisle, in fact the problem we find with the site is leaving it !!!!, we always end up staying between 3 & 5 days in fact if it had a pool I could quite easily make it my main destination.

I've always had a reply. How strange. Anyway, it'll be fine in June, you won't have a problem.

We have planned to stay at St Clair on our way to the Camping and Cara club rally at Les Saules, Blois in May. I haven't booked, but we usually arrive early afternoon before campsites begin to fill.Anyone else off to the Loire rallies?

We twice stayed overnight at Neufchatel last year, very friendly it was too.

They seemed geared up to a lot of single night stayers, en route to somwhere else. People staying for more than 1 night seemed to get nice pitches nearer the stream, and we overnighters were nearer the entrance. Can't complain really. The site barrier opened at 7am, and we were in Calais for 09:30. The leclerc supermarket 400m away had a 24h card operated filling station, which accepted my Barclays debit card with no probs.

Typical french site, with no loo seats, but spotless nontheless. We took our own loo roll and kind of fashioned a seat out of paper!
