Thanks for that the pictures are great, parking up in the lanes at Plymouth seems to be the best idea.

Hopefully we wont have to to wait to long at Roscoff as we are getting the afternoon ferry back and then driving home to the midlands through the night.

Thanks Again

You're welcome. It takes us around 6 1/2 to 7 hours from Derby and we aim to get to Plymouth before midnight, the roads are usually fairly quiet and its motorway and dual carriage nearly all the way.
We take some water for a brew and have our bedding/beds ready to fall into when we arrive. Don't worry about not waking up early as the staff wander around to make sure everyone's up and about before boarding starts. Have a good holiday!

There's plenty of space either in the lanes by the check-in or a car park as you enter, most people just pull up in the lanes after the last ferry has gone. Here's a picture from last year and one of Armorique ready for loading.

Oh the memories. Can recall being parked up there at end of June 2010 with caravan in tow waiting to board. Then arriving next morning and setting off for the Vendee (La Garangeore).

It's nice to reminisce!!!

I thought for a minute you were going to say your van was on the picture :) I'll look forward to going in June or not in school hols... another year or so and we might be parked up next to you.

Hi, If its any help we slept in theport last year with the kids for the early ferry and it was fine, also lovely not having that last minute panic of getting up earlier than required to miss the traffic.
