Has anyone stopped here:

PERROQUET PLAGE FRONTIERE

If not, can any one recommend a campsite in northern France for a couple for nights before we get the ferry home from Calais? Stayed in Des Dunes last time and was just OK....

What time is your ferry? i.e  how close to calais do you need to be ?

All the campsites along that stretch of coast are much of a muchness. Its not the most salubrious of areas, bit like the Kent coast opposite.

Our own last night in Calais was often in the beach car park (now an official motor home Aire) on the west side of the harbour entrance. In those days it was free and we used to spend all our remaining cash in the Cote d'Argent restaurant which is right there beside you. The reviews for that restaurant  say that it's still as good as ever.
