You could have a look at camping a la ferme, its in French but google will translate it.The idea is very similar to CL/C sites. We found a lovely site set in an orchard on a farmin a small village off the N44 between Reims & Laon there were only us and a Dutch family staying on site, it was an overnight stopover on our journey home from Annecy to Zeebrugge.
Hope this helps

Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
Camping Lac du Sautet in Corpes is an old favourite of mine, not all singing/dancing but enough to occupy the little people and the views from the terrace with a bottle of wine are enough to occupy the big people. I will attempt link although I have never got to grips with it, here goes....
Lovely looking site - but WHY won't sites include the small cost of a shower in their prices! There is nothing worse than buying a token for a shower and then finding out that it's run out of hot water long before you've rinsed off the shampoo!
I had this once, at Les Courtilles de Lido near Fontainbleau, and the only solution, other than to rinse in cold water because I didn't have another token) was to run out of the shower cubicle, rinse my hair under the basin taps and run quickly back in before anyone came in!

not quite (well not even close!) to the area you wanted, BUT its actually on the beach and meets your other requirements! take a look at the bit that says

OFFRE CAMPING ADHÉRENT F.F.C.C.
STOP ACCUEIL CAMPING-CAR
then do a search and translate it - seems to be some sort of camping discount club? it probably applies to a whole range of sites across france
weve looked at the site for some friends of ours and it was clean and tidy - seems to have been 'updated' over the last few years
it looks to be around 30 euros to join the 'club', but the cheaper rates might make it worthwhile?
The FFCC is the French camping club and may be affiliated to one of the British ones.

Apart from the shower jeton (and I am still shuddering at the thought of ValA running amok in the sanitaire!) the electricicity is only 4 amp which can pose a problem. Having said that, municipals can offer wonderful sites and value for money
Well............... Last night was a first for us - a free baguette with each purchase from the campsite shop - and they weren't 'old' but freshly baked!
