We were in same situation a couple of years ago. We had sleeper seats but they didnt recline (think airline seats) so we did what everyone else did and slept on the floor. Our section was only accessable by those that had paid for the seats. I had to go to the toliet in the night and had to step over people to get out the door. I didnt worry about my bag etc (and I'm very concious about valuables) we just put it under a pillow between us all.
My advice would be to take SIMS or roll mats if you have them to sleep on and definetly take some pillows. Lots of people did this and the crew didnt bat an eyelid.
