Has anyone been to / know anything about this campsite? Looking at possibly a 4 night stay at the beginning of July.

Haven't been to the site, but my book says it is:

2-star,partly shaded, hot showers, baby bathing facility, ehu, hot frood avail, ice avail, shop with bread, kiddies and adult entertainment.  Close by is a swim pool, and other facilities.  Site is on a small river.

If you do go there, there is a super zoo locally - well worth a visit.  We have stayed several times at L'etang de la Breche (I believe it has now been renamed Domain de la Breche) at Varrennes.

We stayed in 2009 - really nice site, clean, very friendly and helpful receptionist, especially as we were the only English staying on site at that time - very close to the nice little town, also within easy biking distance of larger supermarket etc. We visited the troglodyte caves during our stay - they are located near the zoo and are very interesting.
