They were widely available where we were - both in the car accessories 'aisles' of hypermarkets, and by the tills in some supermarkets.
They are in little plastic packets, which are a bit smaller than a disposable razor packet - and they certainly had them almost everywhere we went in the larger supermarkets.
As far do you need one ........................... well if you don't get stopped, 'No', but if you do......................................!
