Booked eurotunnel crossing 2months ago and was told times i required were not available so booked a later crossing. I have just been on Eurotunnel website and the times i originally requested are now available at 50% increase, is this the norm and would i be able to change booking ? Would there be any additional cost ?   I booked with caravan club and they are now closed so any advice would be greatly appreciated   

I found over the years that sometimes getting quotes through 'Agents' (such as the Caravan Club, or the Camping Cheques organisation) for various ferries sometimes meant that you were informed that 'times were not available' and yet going directly to the operator those times were showing as having space. 

I always checked with the operator and if times were showing as available then I used to phone and ask them to try to book those times, rather than just taking the website information as 'correct'. 

However, as Ollie says, if the times you want are near to the times you've booked then just turn up.

Eurotunnel prices works rather like the budget airlines, the nearer the time of the crossing and the fuller the train the higher the price. Eurotunnel do allow you to arrive up to 2 hours early and if there is room they usually put you on the next available train.
