We are soooooo excited! 4 weeks now and we'll be on the Plymouth ferry to Roscoff for two weeks at Camping de la plage, Carnac! To add to it even more, managed to persuade Mr S to invest in a Cadac, I literally can't wait!

Thanks Francais, I certainly hope so. The weather at home is sooooo miserable. Saying that, I don't care as at least I'll not be at work and we'll be on holiday.
off to le pin parasol in 3 weeks and starting to get a little concerned about the weather, the reason we started to go to France was due to the shocking weather we ALWAYS got here and have had 3 glorious years over there, fingers cross it warms up otherwise it may be back to the dreaded airport package holiday hell!
I know jackforever, fingers crossed all the rain they're having just now is clearing the way for us! We didn't get good weather in Belgium last year but still enjoyed it.
Enjoy your holiday

I love Camping de la Plage and that part of Brittany. We took our tent over Whitsun a few years ago and despite the rain (think we had 5 days rain out of 7) had a great time. If you have kids you must get on the little tourist train that stops outside the site in the evening and takes you round La Trinite, the standing stones, Carnac Plage then back to the site. The site cannot be bettered for beach access either. The cafe next to the site does good food and icecreams too.
Lets all order the sunshine, we arent going to France til the 18th August, surely the sun will be shining by then.

Aww, thanks for the suggestions savanne1. The kids are really excited. Do you know if there is somewhere on the site to play football? I know there's obviously the beach but Master S keeps asking me!
Will definately all need to get ordering the sunshine, and for it to last at least until you are there. Have a great time!
I cant recall anywhere to play football. There is a good playarea at one end of the site and crazy golf and some other bits on the otherside of the road that they share with their sister site de la Baie. Is there a map onsite with any football area marked out? Its not the biggest of sites and I'm pretty certain there isnt a anywhere to play football. Our kids arent into football so its not something we'd look for.

Thanks savanne! There's nothing on the site map but you know how some sites just seem to have an area where all the kids group and inevitably they play football. He's got pop up goals so he can set them up on the beach and I'm sure he'll find someone to play with!
