Hi, does anyone have any experience of using this scheme in August, as wondering how easy it is to find a place at the farms and vineyards, and can you stay for more than a day, thanks, Andy

It's a great scheme andypandy...we've used it for several years now touring the Loire region and also Burgundy as we do lots of cycling and touring. We generally move on each day and I think you're only expected to stay overnight.

Having said that, sometimes you can turn up, park and depart again without seeing anyone...even though the advice is that you say 'hello' and 'goodbye'! Other times, we've had wine tasting sessions, vineyard tours and restaurant meals. The sites are very varied.

On the last 2 French trips which lasted 4/6 weeks each, we used only Aires and France Passion sites with the exception of a couple of nights on municipal sites for laundry purposes!!

Go for it - you can manage with very little/no French language skills and if you're moving about, it'll save you a fortune!

Which areas are you going to/through?

Hi, thank you for your words, encouraging, we aim to leave Calais and head towards the Vendee and head down to La Rochelle along the coast, then inland and across to Ronsenac where I have friends,to be honest we are not sure, but that is why we like the look of France passions. So here goes, looking forward to it. Thanks again.
