Hi all,

Now that we're back from our two weeks at Le Brasilia in Canet we're starting to think about next year!

We love the Yelloh Village sites that are right on the beach after this year and also visiting Serignan Plage a couple of years ago. We've decided that we want to try a different area of France (slightly) so are looking at the south east coast near to St Tropez, Frejus, Monaco etc. but after having a look around we can't find any Yelloh Village similar sites on the coast in this sort of area. Can anyone recommend anywhere?

If we can't find anything on the south east coast we were looking at L'Amfora on the Bay of Roses in northern Spain. Can anyone give any views on this site / area?

Look forward to hearing your views.

Thanks.

Rob

L'Amfora is a great site - excellent facilities, pools etc. I prefer the site next door, Camping Aquarius, which is smaller and doesn't have a pool, but is and extremely friendly site and immaculately well run and maintained - If a pool is important, go to L'Amfora, otherwise Aquarius would be my preference.

In terms of the area, L'Amfora is 1.5 hours south of Perpignan. The camp site is in a National Park on the Bay of Rosas, which is a 10 mile stretch of undeveloped coastline - no hotel, just miles of relatively uncrowded white sand dunes and safe warm sea. Lots of water sports in the area, with several sailing and windsurfing schools.

In terms of places to visit - there are many, depending on what you like to do - within 10 mile there are: The castle in Figueras is one of the most facinating in Europe, The Dali Museum in Figueras attracts visitors from all over the world, There is a great water park in Ampuria Brava, The Roman Ruins in Ampurius is vast and great fun, there is a carting track in L'Escala, where Fernando Alonso started his racing carier. The towns of Rosas, L'escala and Figueras are all worth a visit. You can Head into the Pyranese as they are 30 minutes drive. Barcelona is 2 hours drive
