I'll apologise in advance if this topic has been mentioned before, but I couldn't find anything that dealt specifically with my query. My wife and I are planning to take our caravan to Holland next year. Although used to driving abroad, I have usually been in a hire car, which comes fully prepared with all necessary equipment. The trip to Holland will be the first time driving my own car (and towing) and I wondered if anyone can tell me what equipment I am legally required to carry (warning triangle, spare bulbs etc). Also, are there any specific requirements regarding my caravan? Any help or advice will be gratefully received!

Take a look at the Caravan Club advice for those going to Europe. They cover essential requirements for cars and caravanners. The AA website, too, gives a list of what's required. Posted at the same time!
There is also a lot of useful advice under the posts in the pinned topic 'Advice for Continental First Timers' at the top of this forum. Pages and pages of reading, hints and tips.
