It's a good hour and a half each way by car to a beach from Avignon - either Stes Maries de la Mer, or in the other direction places like Carry le Rouet and Sausset les Pins. Parking is possible at both, but difficult. The alternative is to head for the big beaches at the mouth of the Rhone delta at Piemanson Plage, but don't expect toilets and tearooms if you go down there. It's remote. And you won't need swimming costumes. Parking problems for Avignon city can be avoided by using one of the park and rides. I don't know of any theme parks.
