We're in France in a campsite which said on its website that there's a TV room. This influenced our choice as we want to watch the Olympics (well even just the main athletics events if we could manage it)
However, the TV is in the restaurant, the Olympics is turned on but they have tables set and no room to just sit in and watch. we've gone in and bought a beer each and soft drinks for the children just to justify being there, but at the price they charge, we wont be doing this for long.
I was wondering, does anyone know how to watch on line? Is there a french TV station with an on line feed?

I would have thought Canal is the one you'll need. What channel are the French watching on TV? That'll be the one. I guess you know but you can't access the BBC content as the servers know you are outside of the UK. You can set up a VPN for about a tenner, and this will reroute your internet access to a UK server and then back out to the BBC server which is tyhen fooled into thinking you are in the UK. Goggle "VPN for UK TV abroad" and you'll get loads of results but this is the sort of thing you want ...
Are you sure they will object to you just watching TV? I only ask as we've done this on various sites to watch the TDF in bar/restaurant areas when tables have been set. We have had ice creams, but not every time. We've even had to ask for the channel to be changed from news to TDF!!
