hi, just thought i would let you know how our trip to spain went from sheffield. We had a good travel down until we got to the south of france and just missed the bush fires that was across the south france and the spain border. We had to take a bit of a detour, which we got lost a bit but soon got on the right track soon enough.
We arrived on the campsite, which was camping playa brava, which is in platja de pals mid afternoon. The recepetion area was very quick and pleasant booking us in and we were personally directed to our pitch. There was a choice of three pitches that you could choose from. We picked 165a pitch, which was near the main toilet block, playground and the mini club as we have a young daughter, who needs the toilet breaks every half hour lol.
The campsite has direct access to the beach and its only a few mintues walk from the pitches. It was two swimming pools. One for toddlers and the main pool, which isnt huge but big enough. The pool side was very clean and has a restaurant and a ice cream booth close by. Their is a small supermarket and bar next to each other. The supermarket stocked all the things that you would need and was not bad priced. In the bar their is two pool tables and and internet access. The campsite has wi-fi, which you buy a card for some many hours, if you which to do so. It was 8 euros for 120 mintues. As we have a teenage son we bought a card, only to find that he didnt have time to use the internet as he was enjoying himself too much on the campsites with new mates that he found.
Their is footie courts and table table, beach volley ball and tennis courts and mini golf course. We used all of them and were very nice.
The toilet blocks and showers were very clean and cleaned on the hour every hour. Their is nightly entertainment, which went on to midnight, then stopped. The campsite has a quiet policy on noise from 11.30pm u til 7.am. There wasnt any problem with noise while we were on the campsite.
Only slight thing was that the campsite is full of dutch and germans and the language barrier was hard for our daughter but our son wasnt too bothered as they were playing footie and they all got along.
We never camp any where twice but will be returning to camping playa brava next year because we loved it that much. I hope this helps. i have tried to do a campsite review on this campsite but it isnt on the forums data base. If any body wants to know any more please feel free to email and i will try and answer any questions you have.
