we are off this late this morning. got to try and squeeze everything in the car soon. then off to folkestone for the nght. before heading down to Dijon for overnighter ! then down to lac du lit du roi for a week. then down to the ardeche for week no.2. which me luck loading the car lol !!

Thanks for all the good wishes!! Just packing everything up at the mo...............endless task especially with two 6 year-olds!!

We're off tomorrow, well early early Saturday to be exact! ................not sure if we will stop at Salbris or Vatan - see how we get on!

We're off tomorrow. Doing a week in Cornwall first though, so not departing for foreign shores until the 18th.

It's lovely packing when it's sunny. Just makes you feel even more in the holiday mood.

Soooooooo excited now!

just had one of the best nights sleep in along time at the Ace Hotel, Bourges. We were knackered so were in bed by 8.00pmfrench time and now up and ready (6.30am) for an early start to Val du Cantobre. I can highly recommend this hotel, absolutely immaculate rooms and very comftable beds/pillows. Will be booking it before we leave for our return journey. Not the cheapest for 3 at 59 euros but worth it imho. No motorway sound, cant even hear next door. Off for breakfast now.

Lovely reading of all the excited packing happening up and down the country! We have finally rebooked ( for the last time Fingers crossed!!) sun19th 8AM Plymouth- Roscoff- had to wait for doc all clear for me, then OH uncle passed away so had to re-arrange for funeral, then with new rearranged ferry would have needed b&b for night as i am unable to "pitch in" and DD not quite up to speed pitching required at night!!  3rd and final ammendment to morning crossing !!so.......now .....at last... getting excited.. officially!!

Happy Hols to you all - looking forward to the reminiscing and reviewing and pictures when we all return
