Wife and I spending May 2013 in Portugal with VW California.
Info on sites and sights would be welcome.
We plan to tour down the coast north to south for about 3 weeks then back up the inner bits for a week.

I have been enjoying reading "Phil and Hazels Adventures" after someone posted a link on here to their blog. They are full timing in a caravan, and spent time in Portugal. You may find some useful information there.
just follow the coast stop in loads of nice places .
i would advise getting a cepsa mapamax map of spain and portugal get it on amazon . i just bought a new one ready for this winter the old one is hardly readable its used that much.. follow the white roads . its all possible i do it with a mini artic, camper. some great wild camping . if there is a road between you and the sea you are on the wrong road. wild camp is best. i would say three weeks isnt long enough . we very often spend 3 months heading south to north . but enjoy it . theres some great places . i used to use a vw t2 but now follow the same routes in a much bigger vehicle . you will love it i,m sure.
