Wonder if anyone can help me. Need someone with a better memory than mine. Shouldn't be difficult. A year or maybe 2 years ago someone posted a link to a new complex that was more or less completed I think on the Costa Brava or Blanca. It was a fairly large holiday complex with restaurants, pools and entertainment on site. The beauty was that you could pitch your touring caravan there and I think it was about 4-500 Euros a month for longer term pitches through the winter. Does anyone recollect which site this was or was I just dreaming in my dotage? Alternatively if no one can, have you any ideas on similar type places?

could be the new marjal on the costa blanca the inland site not coastal. This has only recently been completed, excellent facilities but a bit sparse till trees and bushes have grown .We have only stayed 5 days on caravan club coastal tour but I think they were doing good monthly/ winter prices. Site is in cclub overseas site brochure but obviously has website hope this helps.

This is one of Phil and Hazels reviews, it impressed me!
Pinar St Jose

Zahora Spain

Spain

Excellent site, very sandy pitches but all of a good size. Suitable for big vans and Rvs. Water, electricity, tv point and waste adjacent to each pitch. Free Wifi, however really only works well in the morning. Once everyone is up and on line it slows to a snails pace.. Very well stocked supermarket which also serve the local community. Excellent bar and restaurant on site. English spoke in bar and reception. Good sized pool (closed while we were there) Two large shower blocks which are reasonably modern. Shower cubical are a good size and plenty of hot water, Showers blocks were cleaned daily.

This is a winter rest over spot for many Brits who return here year after year, so they is an excellent community spirit, if your not one for joining in then this may not be the site for you. There’s wonderful beaches a mile away, lots of local and not so local attractions. Gibraltar is just a little over an hour away. This is going to be a tough act to follow.

Cost for 3 months, Special rate 770 Euros

My Score 9.6 (if the pool was open and heated, Think I'd still be there.)

We stayed there this summer when it was virtually all Spanish people. Had a great time. (Pool was open) so I agree with all the above.

Apparently it does get full in winter so make sure you book.

Two other points. It is possible to get a bus into Cadiz; takes about 1.5 hours and costs around 5 Euros each way. Summer timetable is good - not sure of the winter timetable. Easy at the Cadiz end too.

My only criticism would be lack of a choice of restaurants. The gastropub on the left as you walk towards the beach served up the worst meal I have had in Spain. Go to the Venta just past it.

I think people may have got a little confused! I am currently at Marjal Costa Blanca which officially opened Dec 2011. They have five showe blocks all new and clean. The beach is about ten miles away. Facilities are amazing. Jacuzzis turkish bath, sauna, indoor pool and outdoor pool. This site was used by the Caravan Club Tours. If last winter was anything to go by there was a good entertainment programme and a fab little community developed. There is water/drainage on pitch along with free British Tv and iwi fi.A standard pitch which is 90 sq metres was 2;9 euros a month! Yes a month! I couldnt afford to stay in the Uk!
Top site in winter!

You sure about the price? Sounds too good to be true. Great to hear someone really rate the place though.
