We are off to stay in a Gîte (no tent this time) in Brittany (a few clicks north of Guingamp £195 for the week!) this weekend. Leaving South Yorkshire Friday heading to Dover for an afternoon crossing then an overnight 2 hours south of Calais in a family friendly B&B with a sleep 5 family room.

I noticed on another board that its the V-Festival this weekend. I know the M6 will get hammered and perhaps M11/M25 too so just be warned in case you are travelling and didn't know.

Any secret tips for the region greatly accepted.


Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!

I have stopped there twice a year for the last 10 years, never had any problems.

V at Weston Park will cause problems around the A5, A41 and M54,probably M6 at the A5 junction.

 Same every year-its great (not!) We have to go home via the backroads tomorrow-workplace is on A41!

Going to get my van out of storage today as it would take forever to get it on Saturday!
