Still hot in the Ardeche 33c, also very hot in Troyes on the way down and as our aircon is broken we were well aware of the heat on our 6 hour drive to Vallons Pont D'Arc. Sitting by pool now enjoying a drink, can't believe this time last week I was so stressed and thinking we wouldn't get here due to my partners passport not arriving!, Enjoying it all the more, trying not to think of driving home on Saturday.

Just lovely in the Loire region - been steady around 23 deg and forecast to continue. Able to cycle and sit out but shade is better for reading and eating.

and that's why I am now trying to locate a good camping fridge - returning to the tent in 37 degree heat near Antwerp Belgium this Saturday and drinking very very warm beer out of the cooler was the last straw
Yes ... warm beer is the best argument for a fridge! We got one eight years ago (table top, and replaced it two years ago with a three shelf model (£90 from Curry's) .... always keeps stuff cold ... brilliant for doing two to three days shopping, instead of having to do a daily run, too.
Hi, we have been staying at La Bien Assise (Guines) for the last week with our new pup Ozzie and have had the most perfect weather that I can remember since starting caravanning. Ok, it is a tad Calais on Sea but a great site with some brilliant quiet beaches close by, together with sleepy market towns and historical sites.
I certainly did not miss the two day drive to the Vendee this year....but will maybe venture further afield next.

Back last night from five and a half weeks away. Unrelenting sunshine all the time by day (a few rain spots on two nights... you could literally count them falling on the roof), temperatures in shade of 36 in the Dordogne - marginally cooler by the coat near Royan.
Just returned from the Dordogne. Temps in the high 30's the entire two weeks we were there. I know I like the sun, but even I had to stay in the shade. The caravan was like a boiler and most nights we were still awake at 2am craving some respite.
Thankfully a few days before we left we bought our boys individual fans for their bunks and they slept really well. However our fan was hopeless and we tried in vain to buy a fan over there, but couldn't get one anywhere - everywhere had sold out!
