We have 3 young boys 8, 7 & 4 and are looking to book a Spanish Campsite for 2 weeks next summer, to enjoy our trailer tent in a warmer climate. We are looking for a site that has direct beach access, a good selection of swimming pools (water slides for the older 2) and a toddler pool for the younger one. Also important to us are the leisure facilities onsite/nearby (mini golf etc) and a location close to public transport for exploring.
We have looked at various sites available through Keycamp/Eurocamp etc, but we're trying to avoid these and book one independently. Can anyone either advice on a good well equipped site that they may have stayed at or a good Euro search engine?
Many Thanks

Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
We stayed at camping Las Dunas on the Costa Bravo (Bay of Roses) in July. This was a huge site, almost like a resort if you want that sort of thing. Direct access to a fantastic beach, disco, supermarket, shops, takeaway etc on site. Really well run and the toilets/showers were fantastic. Our three kids loved it - kids club was excellent! No slide in the pool (possibly the thing that lets the site down). Watersports and paintball etc nearby.
Long trek to reach this part of the world though but we thought it was worth it. Hope to be booking for next year when reservations open Oct 1st.
There is some fantastic sites around the Bay of Roses. I'm sure you'll find one to suit.
we've not found many sites in Spain with slides (one of our requirements). In June we went to Camping Cypsela and it was a lovely site but we had to drive everywhere, and no slides. Booked Camping Playa Brava for this month, it's next to the beach but has no slides so cancelled and instead booked to go to Castell Montgri instead. It's not next to the beach but provides a bus to take you (as did Cypsela) but it has got 3 pools and the one near where the camping pitches are has a couple of slides. We went to El Delphin Verde in 2009 but again no slides but next to the beach. Spain has always been a let down in the pool area for us even on package holidays, will be so much easier when it's just me and hubby.

Camping La Siesta is a nice site, with everything your need on site. The only thing that spoiled our stay a few years ago was the very, very load music from the outdoor night club some 15km away. Hopefully it has shut down now, but I would check first.
no inflatable slides at La Siesta and we've just come back. I've seen pics on their website of the inflables but they didnt materialise. There is a small four lane slide lots of kids enjoyed.
