The 7 yro young girl, was shot in the shoulder, and bludgened (sp) conclusion was shot while escaping, no bullets left. Thus beaten.  She only survived because of being found by the cyclist. 

I think they have brought her out of the induced coma.  

The French have brought in the Swiss and the Italians, as their borders are only about 11/2 hr away.from the area.    The area was so remote, they were saying it could be hours before seeing another car.

I do hope they find who ever did this.  But properbly not.

From the French papers the younger girl has now been taken back to Britain by relatives, and her sister has come out of the induced coma but has not yet been interviewed. 

The road they were stopped on was very isolated, and it's unlikely that many CCTV cameras are around - in Britain we have them everywhere, in France they are quite unusual except on the major roads.  I don't know what the second cyclist saw - reports say he was British in some papers, in others French.

There is still a lot of speculation in the French press about motives, and it varies from day to day!

The first cyclist who came across the scene was shot dead, was french.  He passed the second cyclist earlier.  The second cyclist, was British who saved the life of the young girl and called for help. 

Just watching Sky BBC News, they are saying now.  That it was a lone gunman, one gun was used, which can be quickly reloaded.  Carrying on saying, that he was a professional or if not, the gunman was very familiar with guns.

This was released to the press by the French.
