We are wanting to stay on a campsite next to a lake next year and then move on to Pouitou Charentes or that area for a beach holiday by the sea.

Any recommendations please. We have stayed at L'oree du bois for the past few years but fancy a change so any recommendations. not bothered about entertainment but must have pools and slides for the children - who will be 13 11 and 3. Thanks all

Not sure if it's anywhere near where you want to go but L'Airial in Soustons is a nice campsite and has an indoor swimming-pool. The lake is just across the road from the campsite and you're not all that far from a beach (by car/bike). Lots of cycle paths to explore in the area too.. and there's a Lidl just down the road from L'Airial.I can't remember if there are pools and slides in the campsite though..You might like a look at their website. Off the top of my head, I don't know if there are any reviews her on UKcampsite.

Friends of mine highly recommend Camping Lac Bleu at Bombannes which is at Lake Carcans, it has weblink. It offers lake activities and beach activities. Seems to be well set up.
